This year’s Sustainable Food Awards is now open to entries. Since 2018, the Sustainable Food Awards has been giving recognition to operators helping build a sustainable food industry.

Organised by Ecovia Intelligence, the awards are open to food & beverage brands, retailers & distributors, ingredient firms, packaging companies, NGOs, certification agencies, and related firms.

There are five distinct award categories...

New Sustainable Product: given to a new food / beverage product with important sustainability credentials.
Sustainable Ingredient: given to a new ingredient that makes a sustainable difference in terms of environmental and / or social impact.
Sustainable Packaging: a new packaging format that has lower environmental impact.
Sustainability Pioneer: given to an operator that is a pioneer in some aspect of sustainability.
Sustainability Leadership: given to an organisation that leads in various aspects of sustainability.

The closing date for entries is 4th May, the finalists will be notified by 24th May, and the winners will be announced at a dedicated awards reception in Amsterdam on 15th June. The awards reception will be co-hosted alongside the European edition of the Sustainable Foods Summit, 15-16th June.

Award recipients will benefit from media coverage and industry recognition of their sustainability achievements. Winners and runner-ups of the previous (2022) Sustainable Food Awards were Barry Callebaut Group / Cabosse Naturals (Switzerland), Blue Sky Botanics (UK), Blueyou Group (Switzerland), Concepta Ingredients (Brazil), Fairtrade Original (Netherlands), Green Monday (Hong Kong), KOA Pure (Switzerland), Numi Organic Tea (USA). Olam Food Ingredients (Singapore), and VegWare (UK).
