Global pioneering leader in machinery and integrated systems, Randek, today announced the launch of an innovative new robotic solution for sub-assembly manufacturing for wall panels.
The Sweden based company has designed its new high-precision ZeroLabor Sub-assembly Solution to improve efficiency and increase productivity by automating the production of subcomponents that supply the main wall production line.
The innovation comes at a time when manufacturers around the world are struggling with labour shortages, while an increase in structural timber is driving the need for net zero.
The new sub-assembly robotic solution is the latest system in the ZeroLabor System Series, a range of solutions leading the way in robotic automation. As a series, they bring the highest level of automation to wall panel manufacturers all over the world—from subassemblies, sheathing, and insulation to gluing of wall elements for off-site house building.
ZeroLabor Robotic Sub-assembly automates early-stage production processes of wall elements by using robotic to manufacture sub-components such as rough openings and stud assemblies. These components then feed the main wall production line.
For off-site construction companies, this eliminates the need for manual production of framed openings and structural studs, enhancing LEAN productivity. The finished components can then be fed to the main wall production line, without delay.
A Cutting-Edge Solution for a wide range of operations as it can work as a standalone solution or be integrated into larger scale high-precision production lines. It boosts productivity and efficiency, maintain consistent quality, while reducing health and safety risks in factory environments.
This Newest Addition to the ZeroLabor Robotic System Series comes at a time when labour shortages are gripping the manufacturing sector around the world, as aging workers retire, global economies are stagnant and Covid saw a mass exodus from the sector. Coupled with this, governments are driving forward with net zero targets, encouraging more environmentally ways to build. This is driving forward demand for structural timber as a material of choice for building homes and manufacturers see the benefit of quality, precision and high output that the ZeroLabor Robotic System offers.
Ola Lindh, CEO of Randek “Our R&D is always focused on delivering solutions that are designed to increase automation, streamline processes within a manufacturing facility and ultimately improve productivity and quality.“
This latest subassembly robotic solution automates the manufacturing of rough openings for doors, windows, etc., improving the efficiency of the production line. It is the next step in enhancing workflow productivity while maintaining high quality and minimizing labor requirements.
ZeroLabor Robotic Sub Assembly will launch at this year’s LIGNA 2025, taking place in Hannover, Germany 26th to 30th May 2025. Welcome to Hall 13 Stand F48
