The S700 shoulder exoskeleton from exoIQ is an innovative, ergonomic aid. It provides active support during tiring activities at chest height and overhead work. It relieves the muscles in the shoulders, arms and neck. Tools or your own arms feel almost weightless.

Active support systems for the shoulder area were previously not available on the market. The advantage of an active exoskeleton is obvious: like passive systems, they transfer the load from weaker to stronger parts of the body, but they can also be individually adjusted to people and activities. Following intensive biomechanical analyses, the Hamburg-based company exoIQ has developed an active exoskeleton in which the upper arms are supported electro-pneumatically with the equivalent of up to five kilograms of additional force. This relieves the muscles in the shoulders, arms and neck. Tools or your own arms feel almost weightless.
Battery-powered support system

"The key feature of active support systems is that the power output can be individually adjusted," explains Bernward Otten, Managing Director of exoIQ GmbH. "The S700 gives employees a helping hand, so to speak, to prevent overload and fatigue. But the level of support required can be set differently by each user and for each activity. And the system can be switched to pause mode at any time so that it doesn't interfere with secondary activities."
Reducing strain for greater concentration and quality of work

The idea behind exoskeletons is not to replace employees, but to reduce their workload. When using the S700 for activities above head or at chest height, an immediately noticeable, positive effect should occur. Less fatigue and greater concentration have an equal impact on employee satisfaction and quality of work. "Nothing is more flexible than humans, who have evolved over millions of years. The most important driver of successful companies is to consistently maintain the performance of their employees. And with the S700, we offer an ergonomic aid that makes work easier," says Robert Weidner, also Managing Director of exoIQ.
HANNOVER MESSE offers the opportunity to try out the S700 in person

To get a first-hand impression of the S700's performance, exoIQ is inviting interested parties to visit HANNOVER MESSE 2024 in April and test the world's first active shoulder exoskeleton in person. Those responsible see the trade fair as an excellent opportunity to present new innovations and exchange ideas with other companies and experts. With a comprehensive team of engineers and sales staff, exoIQ will therefore be present at the trade fair to answer any questions and present new projects.
