Sustainability and innovation were at the heart of the Avery Dennison FESPA 2022 stand in Berlin, offering installers insights into new sales opportunities and improvements to both environmental performance and their bottom line. A particular focus was placed on automotive and architectural segments, where key innovations have made an especially strong impact.

Kodak has unveiled the revolutionary KODAK PROSPER 7000 Turbo Press at its inkjet facility in Dayton, Ohio. Kodak's new inkjet web press uses KODAK Stream Inkjet Technology offering printing speeds of up to 410 mpm (1,345 fpm) or up to 5,523 A4 ppm, which is almost 35% faster than its nearest competitor. It enables commercial, publishing and newspaper printers to compete more effectively with offset and to shift more long run jobs from conventional printing processes to inkjet. Kodak is setting unprecedented standards in speed and productivity with its new full color perfecting inkjet press.

Toyo-Morton, Ltd., Japan’s leading manufacturer of laminating adhesives and a member of the Toyo Ink Group, has updated its laminating adhesives portfolio with food-safe products that are free of epoxy silanes and organic tin compounds. The renewed lineup includes both the solvent-based TOMOFLEX™ and the solvent-free ECOAD™ series of laminating adhesives that are suitable for a wide range of multilayer flexible packaging applications, such as dry food, liquid pouch and high-performance retort. All products in the lineup conform to global food contact regulations for adhesives, such as the EU No.10/2011, U.S. FDA 175.105, China GB 9685-2016 and Japan’s Notification No. 196.

Through a clearly defined purpose, sharper strategic focus and ambitious sustainability targets, the company is accelerating its pace of execution with the vision to become the Preferred Sustainable Specialty Materials Company. Following the ownership reorganization of its Decor business, estimated to be completed by the end of the third quarter of 2022, Ahlstrom-Munksjö plans to change its business name to Ahlstrom.

In honor of World Environment Day, Xerox today announced a partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation to plant nearly 23,000 trees — one for each Xerox employee — contributing to the nonprofit’s global reforestation efforts while also educating employees on how they can make a meaningful difference for the environment.
