The fuel cell manufacturer cellcentric is donating a fuel cell test bench to Esslingen University of Applied Sciences for the new Master's degree course in Hydrogen Economy and Technology Management, thereby supporting research and teaching in the field of hydrogen economy.

Esslingen University of Applied Sciences to support research and teaching in the field of renewable energy sources and the hydrogen economy. Company representatives have now handed over the donation to Esslingen University of Applied Sciences at an official event.

The generous donation from cellcentric will enable Esslingen University of Applied Sciences to expand its scientific capacities for the training of future students on the new Master's degree course in Hydrogen Economy and Technology Management. The fuel cell test bench will be installed in the university's laboratory at the Göppingen campus and will be used primarily by the Institute for Sustainable Energy Technology and Mobility (INEM).

The fuel cell test bench will help to increase the understanding and development of hydrogen-based technologies. It is particularly important for our future Master's students to be able to work on their research projects with good equipment straight away."

As a joint venture between Daimler Truck AG and the Volvo Group, cellcentric develops, produces and markets fuel cell systems for use in heavy commercial vehicles and other applications. The company utilizes the know-how and experience of several decades of development work on fuel cells of its predecessor companies. The aim is to become a leading global manufacturer of fuel cells and thus contribute to climate-neutral transportation.
