The electricity cost for Lessebo Paper has unprecedently increased from €3 million to €19 million per year. The drastically increased electricity price is forcing Lessebo Paper to halt production as of today Wednesday, August 31. A decision for production will henceforth be taken daily depending on the electricity price.

Freudenberg Performance Materials (Freudenberg) is presenting its sustainable Evolon® product range for reusable technical packaging for highly-sensitive parts at Fachpack 2022 in Nuremberg, Germany from September 27-29. Essity is starting a pilot project in Mainz-Kostheim to run a paper machine CO2-free with green hydrogen. For this purpose, natural gas will be successively replaced by green hydrogen during ongoing production.
