Thanks to the new all-in-one platform YaraPlus from fertilizer specialist Yara from this year's partner country Norway, farmers will be able to easily manage everything to do with fertilization in the future. In addition to various service programs, YaraPlus also includes all of Yara's agronomic tools, such as Atfarm and GrassN.

From Norway, the partner country of HANNOVER MESSE 2024, comes Yara International, a company whose declared goal is to expand knowledge in order to feed the world responsibly and thus protect the planet. To support the vision of a world without hunger and a respected planet, Yara pursues a strategy of sustainable value creation, promoting climate-friendly plant nutrition and zero-emission energy solutions.
Global plant nutrition company

Yara was founded back in 1905 to combat the emerging famine in Europe. Since then, the Norwegians have, according to their own statement, carved out a special, prominent position as the only global plant nutrition company in the industry. At a recent event, Yara informed the public about digital innovations and tools relating to fertilization as well as a project to reduce the carbon footprint with green fertilizer.
Digitalization and climate protection

One of the most important innovations presented by the Norwegians was YaraPlus, a new all-in-one platform for all aspects of fertilization. The new platform was presented by Dr. Ulrich Ortseifen, Marketing & Agronomy Manager at Yara Germany. In future, YaraPlus will bundle all of the company's digital tools, including the Atfarm, GrassN and Tankmix apps and other services. Just in time for the 2024 growing season, when YaraPlus will be launched, users will be able to access all the functions of the digital offering with just one login. Multiple entries or lost data will be a thing of the past. "YaraPlus will make work more effective, simpler and time-saving," Ortseifen is convinced.
The personal companion through the fertilizing season

In addition to access to the tried-and-tested Yara apps, Ortseifen explains that other functions can also be called up with the login. Whether it's searching for the right product, requesting a quote or getting field- or crop-specific advice - YaraPlus becomes your personal companion through the fertilizer season.
Atfarm - works in any weather

With the satellite data available in the Atfarm app, farmers can always keep an eye on their crops. Various maps are available, including biomass maps, nitrogen uptake maps and maps for site-specific fertilization. The new "cloud-free" technology should now make it possible to assess the current development of the crop even on cloudy days. In addition, the smartphone-based N photo analysis and the handy "N-Tester BT" can also be used to determine nitrogen requirements directly in the crop.
GrassN - it's so green when the right fertilizer is chosen

With the latest version 3.0 of the free GrassN app from Yara, users can conveniently optimize their grassland fertilization. The current version offers numerous functions for a needs-based fertilization strategy and for the most sensible cutting period. The GrassN app is currently only available in Schleswig-Holstein, Lower Saxony and parts of North Rhine-Westphalia. You can see whether a region is available by selecting the areas with a blue border in the app.
Tankmix - services and agronomic support

The Tankmix app, which can be used to quickly and easily check the miscibility of YaraVita products (foliar fertilizers) with each other and with crop protection products, is also available free of charge in YaraPlus. This also applies to the BigBagweg service, an offer from Yara for farmers in Germany to have empty large containers of Yara fertilizers collected free of charge. Last but not least, the Yara Premium bonus program and the well-known podcasts and newsletters can also be found on the platform. According to Dr. Ortseifen, interested farmers have been able to register at yaraplus.de since February 2024.
