J&G Environmental will host a Macmillan Coffee Morning on 29 September, with the aim of raising more than £500 for charity

Leading waste management company J&G Environmental is delighted to announce it will host a special charity event this month to raise funds for the Macmillan Cancer Support charity.

The Macmillan Coffee Morning will take place on 29 September, with local residents in Blandford Forum, as well as business owners and relatives of staff, invited to come along and enjoy a coffee and a slice of cake.

Those who attend the event will also have the opportunity to buy raffle tickets for a draw to win a range of fantastic prizes that have been donated by local companies.

Prizes on offer include a family ticket to the Tank Museum in nearby Bovington, a luxury chocolate hamper donated by House of Sarunds, bottles of gin and port, and vouchers that can be redeemed at a number of local businesses.

All funds raised will go to Macmillan Cancer Support, with event organiser, J&G’s Office Administrator Tracy Walsh, hoping to raise more than £500 for charity.

The cause is close to Tracy’s heart, with her husband having recently been diagnosed with prostate cancer. Other J&G staff members have also been impacted by cancer, with Macmillan Cancer Support having been an invaluable source of comfort in difficult times.

“I have been overwhelmed by the response, especially as things are tough for everyone,” Tracy said. “It is great to have some fantastic prizes to spread some cheer, all while supporting and promoting local businesses in our community.”
