UPM Raflatac has announced Raben and Reganta as the winners of the RafCycle Award at Labelexpo Europe 2023 in Brussels. The RafCycle Award is presented in recognition of their recycling efforts and value chain collaboration.

Raben, one of Poland’s largest logistics companies, has demonstrated great commitment to improving its environmental performance. One concrete activity the company has initiated is recycling the label waste with UPM Raflatac’s label waste recycling service RafCycle. UPM Raflatac collects label release liner waste from Raben and transforms it into valuable new raw materials. Today, Raben does not just recycle its liner waste but has also taken UPM Raflatac’s more sustainable RAFNTX+ paper label materials into use.
Reganta, a Poland-based printing company, has played a pivotal role in this success story by acting as an ambassador for the RafCycle service. Reganta’s efforts in promoting RafCycle to Raben have not only strengthened the partnership between these industry players but have also led to the adoption of responsible recycling practices and more sustainable label materials.
“Raben and Reganta's joint commitment to sustainability and their commitment to the RafCycle program is a great example of the power of value chain collaboration. We are thrilled to recognize their achievements and hope that their dedication will inspire others,” says Izabela Antczak, Packaging Solutions Manager, UPM Raflatac.
“As one of the leaders in the transport and logistics industry, Raben Group is committed not only to reducing greenhouse gas emissions but also to limiting its negative impact on the environment. Thanks to RafCycle recycling service, we can turn waste into a resource, taking us one step closer on our sustainable path to achieving our ESG goals”, comments Katarzyna Ostojska, Marketing Manager, Raben Logistics Polska.
“Reganta is committed to sustainability, but not just within our own organization. As a bridge between our customers and suppliers, we believe it is our duty to share the knowledge of more sustainable practices that minimize the negative impact on the environment,” says Igor Szlaski, the owner of the Reganta printing company.
